~:~:~: Mourning :~:~:~

On Friday, November 20th, my dog Trooper was hit by a car on the road in front of our house. I was at my friend Kayla's house when it happened. My mom called me at her house and told me the news. He had been hit head on by a careless driver who didn't see him. She was fairly certain that he had damaged his ribs and/or lungs, because he was having difficulty breathing by the time my mom got home. She wrapped him up in a towel and pet him gently, telling him how proud she was of him for being such a trooper and hanging on. My stepdad came out a short while after and told my mom to go back in the house with my older sister. He then preceded to take Trooper out behind the house and put him out of his misery. I held back my tears until after I had ended our conversation. Kayla, Ted, and Ken all hugged me as I cried.

I will be doing a memorial painting of him after I finish with my exams and recover from mourning enough to do so. I don't know how long it will be until I'll be able to do so.

Rest In Peace, My Beloved Trooper.
I will miss you terribly.

Apart from mourning the loss of my dog, I am busy busy busy studying for exams, which are this Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, I have my Anatomy & Physiology exam, followed by my Personal Finance exam (that I exempted), so I'll be spending the entire exam period in the library doing who-knows-what, then will be heading to my Advanced Art exam study hour. On Tuesday, I'll be taking my Advanced Art exam rightaway, followed by my Ceramics exam (I just have to glaze my fail of a teapot), then I get to leave for the day (I exempted my Accounting exam as well). After that, it's nothing but Thanksgiving break.
